No? Well how about this Terri Schiavo?
Incase you still don't remember, allow me to remind you. Terri Schiavo was a very dear girl who died on March 31, 2005 when her husband (by then he was her ex-husband) was able to have the hospital that was caring for her remove the feeding tubes that were keeping her alive. Until her death, she had been in a persistent vegetative state since 1990. That's right. 15 years. 15 years of court hearings, interviews, interrogations, and accusations... 15 years without closure for the loss of his sweetheart that her husband Michael had to live through.
It took 15 years for Terri's doctors, her husband Michael, and then the courts, to decide that she had no chance of recovery and should be allowed to pass away, instead of being kept alive by the technology of modern medicine. If you're wondering why you would know about this, it's because when former senators Bill Frist and Rick Santorum decided to get congress involved in a deeply personal family tragedy, one that had already been carefully and meticulously adjudicated by the courts, it ended up on every news channel and front page in every news paper in the country for two weeks.
I remember watching him on television when Former Senator Frist said, "I question it based on a review of the video footage which I spent an hour or so looking at last night in my office." Frist actually questioned the diagnoses of doctors who had spent years examining, diagnosing, treating, and caring for Terri, after spending "an hour or so" watching video footage shot by Terri's parents (who, incidentally, were the plaintiffs in all of the court cases involving Terri).
When describing the seriousness of Terri's condition, Rick Santorum told The Hill Newspaper, her condition was "close to equivalent of someone with the disease cerebral palsy."
These Senators (with the help of some of their friends) turned this horrible tragedy into a pro-life issue, which is a political issue informed by their religion. Even the Ridiculous Jesse Jackson got in on the action. They saw this as the perfect opportunity to capitalize on an extremely emotional issue and cash in big time.
Tom Delay threatened judges involved in Schiavo case saying, "The time will come for the men responsible for this to answer for their behavior."
I wonder when the time will come when these (Delay, Frist, Santorum) men will be held accountable for their behavior?
On June 15, 2005, the autopsy report was released. The report said, "Terri Schiavo suffered severe, irreversible brain damage that left that organ discolored and scarred, shriveled to half its normal size, and damaged in nearly all its regions, including the one responsible for vision" and described Terri's condition as "irreversible . . . no amount of treatment or rehabilitation would have reversed" it.

These animals, Ricky, Billy, and Tommy, injected theirselves into a personal, private tragedy, and attempted to impose their own corrupt version of christianity onto the rest of the country, using justification that was completely and totally wrong.
Fortunately, Rick Santorum lost his senate seat in the 2006 congressional mid-term election, Bill Frist didn't run again and left the Senate in 2006, and Tom Delay left Congress in 2006 after being indicted for money laundering (he was recently found guilty and is out on bail waiting for his appeal).
Well after all of this, the worthless douchebag that calls himself Santorum is considering running for President in 2012! Can you believe that??
Unless the America you want to live in is an anti-gay, anti-privacy, anti-civil rights, Christian Empire, we must make sure we don't forget about Terri Schiavo, and about the horrible things Santorum has said and done over the last ten years. We must make sure America doesn't forget.
Oh, and incase you'd like to know what a "Santorum" actually is, I'll allow Stephen Colbert to explain, because no one puts it quite like Stephen...
