About me...

I've always been the outsider, the rebel, the adversary...  On the outside looking in.  I've never wanted to be part of the herd of sheeple, blindly being led through a life of boredom and mediocrity by religion while being exploited by the scavengers that feed off the herd.  I've always been a goat, watching the sheep file past me, waiting in a never ending line to their eventual demise.

I've created this weblog to have a place online where I can journal some of my ideas about my journey through my life and things that interest me along the way.

Topics will include motorcycle riding, hunting, gardening, sustainable living, dogs, dog training, wildlife conservation, raising a family, politics, movies, music, religion in government and society, and  things I've found on the internet or in the news that I enjoyed or thought was interesting or thought provoking.  I hope you enjoy reading it, but keep in mind, I write this weblog for me, not for you.

I've been riding motorcycles almost my entire life.  I started riding dirt bikes when I was a kid, purchased my first street bike when I was 17 (Kawazaki KZ 750), and today I ride a 2006 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom.

I started training/handling a hunting dog in 2002 when Di joined our family.  She is a field bred English Springer Spaniel.  Together we've hunted quail, chukar, ducks, geese, and pheasant.  She earned her AKC Junior Hunter title, but life changes prevented us from pursuing Senior and Master Hunter.  I'm hoping to be able to get a pup before the end of 2012 that I can work toward earning the AKC Master Hunter title with.

When I'm not riding, or dog training, I enjoy hiking, hunting, gardening, photography, and reading.

I live in California's San Francisco Bay Area with my wife, our daughters, and our dogs.
